MRS. OMOBUDE OLUBUNMI MABEL
Deputy Provost Edo College of Nursing Sciences

Mrs. Omobude Olubunmi Mabel, the Deputy Provost, Edo College of Nursing Sciences hails from Uzebba in Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State. She is self-motivated with virile potentials for new things, skillful, articulate, and dynamic and having great ambition for a chosen, challenging and rewarding career. She is a woman with a passion for transformation of the human mind and total wellbeing of the people with a strong vision of looking at the world from God’s point of view.

 

She started her educational journey at Baptist Primary School, Ibadan where she obtained her Primary School Leaving Certificate in 1986. She left Ibadan to Secondary School at Uzebba Grammar School and obtained her SSCE in 1992, with a passion for helping people, she furthered her education in St. Philomena’s School of Midwifery and became a registered Midwife in 1997.

 

In 1999 she became a Registered Nurse having attended the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, School of Nursing. In 2014 she obtained two degrees Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from the National Open University of Nigeria and Public Health Nurse Degree from the School of Health Technology, Edo State. She also holds a Postgraduate diploma in Education from the University of Benin, Benin City, a Master Degree of Science in Reproductive Health from the University of Benin and she is currently running a Ph.D. programme in Reproductive Health.

 

Her working experience includes Staff Midwife in the following Institutions: Isoken Medical Center, Marilo Clinic and Maternity Center, Faith Mediplex and Staff nurse/midwife Edo state Government Hospital Management Board. She is also a Nurse tutor with several years of experience having served as both tutor and Principal in the Edo School of Nursing from 2006 – 2014, as tutor and from 2014 to 2019 as principal.
